Fine Arts, Sydney is presenting a new exhibition of work by Matthew Griffin.

Since 2015, Matthew Griffin has been making short videos and sharing them online using social media.

This exhibition presents the one hundred and thirty-three short videos Griffin has made since 2018, collected together as a single work. No longer available on the internet, the videos that comprise the work are presented in person on a big television.

Matthew Griffin lives and works in Sydney. In 2020 his work was presented in exhibitions by Australian institutions including the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, Art Gallery of New South Wales, Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art, UQ Art Museum, Gertrude Contemporary, and Murray Art Museum Albury. He was born in 1976 in Bendigo, Australia, and studied at Victorian College of the Arts, Melbourne, in the late 1990s.

This is Matthew Griffin’s second solo exhibition with Fine Arts, Sydney, and it is the first exhibition at the gallery’s new address.
