Fine Arts, Sydney is presenting an exhibition of work by Louise Paramor.
The exhibition comprises recent sculptures made from paper. These sculptures use an enlarged ‘honeycomb’ technique found in paper decorations. Some of the sculptures include found objects and supports. Paramor adopted this way of making work during the late 1990s.
Louise Paramor’s work was the subject of a large-scale solo exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria in 2017—2018. She has made solo exhibitions at institutions in Australia including Artspace, the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, and in Germany at Kunstverein Langenhagen, Schloss Pillnitz, and Künstlerhaus Bethanien. Her work has featured in curated exhibitions at institutions across Australia including the National Gallery of Victoria, Heide Museum of Modern Art, Canberra Contemporary Art Space, Perth Institute of Contemporary Art, Institute of Modern Art Brisbane, Art Gallery of Western Australia, Monash University Museum of Art, Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, and the National Gallery of Australia.
