Kate Newby
Bring Everyone
November — December, 2019
‘Bring this room into focus. Embrace or ignore it, or perhaps register this room we inhabit as a container named within a list of materials: glass, metal, masonry, ceramic, the room itself. Kate Newby’s work is a measure of what is simultaneously common and utterly full to the brim with a charge. It comes after the question to ignore or embrace. A plurality of overlapping FULL and EMPTY on repeat. A sincere reality of materials, occasion, and self.’
