Fine Arts, Sydney is presenting an exhibition of new work by Fiona Connor.

Fiona Connor’s work often deals with the ways that we use the built environment and how different communities may circulate within and through it.

This exhibition comprises two distinct approaches to sculpture in Connor’s practice, giving attention to precise elements of architecture and to specific qualities of places.

Fiona Connor lives and works in Los Angeles, United States. In recent years her work has been the subject of solo exhibitions at institutions including Kunstverein Dusseldorf, Dusseldorf; SculptureCenter, New York; Secession, Vienna; MAK Center for Art and Architecture, Los Angeles; Govett-Brewster Art Gallery, New Plymouth; Monash University Museum of Art, Melbourne; Dunedin Public Art Gallery; and Auckland Art Gallery. Her work has featured in international thematic exhibitions including the 2017 Chicago Architecture Biennial, 13th Istanbul Biennial, the 1st and 2nd Los Angeles Biennials, and in curated exhibitions at institutions including Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles; Hammer Contemporary and Hammer Museum, Los Angeles; Henry Art Gallery, Seattle; Dunedin Public Art Gallery; Auckland Art Gallery; City Gallery Wellington; Christchurch Art Gallery; and the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, Melbourne.

This is Connor’s fourth exhibition with Fine Arts, Sydney.
